After ten days of blogging, I have the following observation to share.
Although I only have a small number of readers (and I think I rather prefer it this way), I'm sure I have gathered the kindest and most generous ones. Thank you so much for visiting and for taking the time to leave a note. Your encouraging comments motivate me to try to find a way to fit this whole endeavor into my busy life. And you remind me that when I read the blog of a friend, I should not just peek in the windows...but instead, find a moment to knock on the door and say hello.
Merci, mes amies.

This is so sweet! I like the "peeking in the door / say hello" analogy! It IS so fun to read comments from others. I've so enjoyed your ten days...hope you stay with it!
O.K. I'm one of those who is peeking in. I saw your comment on Suzanne's blog about South Dakota. I am a homeschooling blogger too, but instead of writing about homeschooling and my own family life, I write about pro-life politics.
I think your blog is lovely and I enjoy reading these stories and thoughts. I think, as I've said before, you ladies are lighting up the blogosphere in more ways than one.
Since I am not in SD, I would love to get a sense from you how you think it's going. We are praying everyday for a victory to end abortion in SD, and hope that it will be just the beginning in turning the whole country around.
I also would like to request that more of those who peek in at Life of the Party would also comment.
Oh dear, Michelle, I didn't intend for this post to be a criticism of those who read and don't leave comments. We are all so busy. I only meant to say that those who faithfully leave comments here have reminded me (personally) not to get so caught up in my reading that I forget to let the writers know I appreciate their words.
I haven't seen Life of the Party yet but will be visiting soon! And you may have a better feel for how things are going in SD than I do, since not much SD news makes its way to Belgium. :)

My prediction is that, given the quality of the writing at the "Journey" and the depth of the mother's heart animating it, this will not last long!
[For us, your first loyal readers, this is a bit like seeing the Beatles in Hamburg, Germany. : )]
LOL, Alice. Well, I've never been compared to the Beatles before. Definitely a first.
I'm trying to work on my humility here---and you're not helping! If I write from the heart, it's only because I have nothing else to offer.
