Last week, on one of my morning Rosary walks, as I rounded a corner, I was startled to see a fat tabby cat furiously chasing a tiny chipmunk across the street to my right. They raced over the sidewalk before me, and the predator pounced on his defenseless victim. Just at that moment, the cat heard my approach, paused, and looked up at me, not ten feet away. I kept walking toward them, and the oh-so-close-to-victorious pursuer released his prey and turned to run back across the street. Alvin quickly recovered from his shock and scurried toward the bushes in the opposite direction.
Sometimes, saving a life is as simple as being in the right place at the right time and not being afraid to keep walking forward.

So, so true. Sometimes God lends us subtle ways to figure out what He means... other times He sends a cat mauling a chipmunk to make His point. Either way, bless Him.
Also, How to Save a Life by The Fray is such a good song. Thank you for reminding me.
Thanks for *getting* me, EDD. All the way down to the soundtrack playing in my head as I wrote this post. :)
