This week I am thankful for...
...the mom who organized the roller skating party for home schoolers yesterday. The rink was filled with kind, happy, and polite kids. Itty bitty Jacinta was like lightning, racing around the track, while Charlie could barely stay on his feet. So cute.
...a sister who will drive for an hour so that her kids can skate with mine.
...cousins who never get tired of playing together and always beg to stay longer.
...our local library, which makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. One half of a long aisle filled with nothing but Christmas books! Our poor little base library in Belgium only had about ten.
...my hot shower every morning, which gives me a few quiet moments to think. Most of the time.
...stores where I can find whatever I need, where all of the signs and labels are written in English, and where all of the clerks smile.
...sweet friends who send encouraging comments to my inbox.
(hint, hint, says Elena)
...citizenship in a country that allows me to educate my children at home.
...six beautiful, healthy children who love me even on my bad days.
...a generous husband who is faithful and true.
...the gift of faith in One who loves and sustains my undeserving soul.
