Lest you believe, based on my last post, that I have finally lost my marbles, let me assure you that that actually happened a long time ago. I hope I didn't scare anyone off. What can I say? My dear friend Alice has a passion for potassium, and she gets jazzed-up over jaunty jingles. Having been dubbed Diana Banana as a child, I felt obliged to indulge her in celebration of her 61st birthday. I thought she deserved a few extra laughlines.
Anyway, after witnessing firsthand one of my brief yet all too frequent lapses into inexplicable insanity, you probably won't think a thing of me posting our Halloween photos seventeen days after the fact. And if you do...well, hey, it's my blog and my life and if I want to mail my Christmas cards in January, I will, by golly. (Not that I would actually ever do that.)
I can't resist. The costumes were just that good.
I think I've found the secret to a successful Halloween---think up a brilliant theme and then find creative, unsuspecting workhorses to execute it, those poor fools being my sister and better half, as usual. And so, without further ado, I take you from the country of Spare Oom to the magical land of Narnia...

The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
(that's me in the middle..tres chiq, yes?)

Turkish Delight, anyone?
Lucy meets Mr. Tumnus at the slinky Lamppost
(Lamppost played brilliantly by my sister, Kiki)

Cutest Mr. and Mrs. Beaver evah!
Noble Aslan, Evil Jadis, and Fierce Maugrim
(Elena was sooo type-cast for that role.)

A Belated Happy Halloween from All of Us in Narnia!

That's a great theme! How creative!
I have to show my kids this post...we've been listening to the audio series of Narnia, and they love it! Great costumes!
Have you lost weight?
Oh yeah, Maggie, I'm thin as a (card) board.

I felt much less inadequate when you weren't blogging...Diane, you are amazing. I wish you were my neighbor!
Loved the Carmen Miranda, by the way.
Peace and prayers,
Sara
PS Did you hear that Gretchen Therese made her appearance in October?
